Treatment of depressions.
Do not use with alcohol intoxication as well as heavy liver deseases. Caution with kidney damage, glaucoma or prostatahypertrophie. Do not use during pregnancy.
Combination with MAO inhibitors cause fever, cramps and unconsciousness.
The vegetative Adverse Effects are somewhat smaller than with the tricyclic antidepressants, however it can come to disturbances of the blood picture, among other things agranulocytosis.
The blood level determination of Mianserin can take place after extraction by means of HPLC/DAD. Therapeutic blood levels: 0,01-0,15 µg/ml.
